How It Works

The Gefen 1:2 DVI Dual Link Distribution Amplifier operates by taking a single DVI source and splitting the signal to two separate displays. The setup is straightforward. First, connect your computer or other dual link DVI source to the DVI input port on the distribution amplifier using the included 6 ft. dual link DVI cable. Next, connect your two DVI displays to the DVI Out 1 and DVI Out 2 ports on the amplifier. Finally, connect the included 5V DC power supply to the unit and plug it into an available electrical outlet to provide power. For larger installations, multiple units can be cascaded from one to the next to create a flexible distribution system that can connect to many displays from a single source.

All monitors connected to the amplifier must be able to display the output resolution of the source device. The amplifier does not have an internal scaler to change the video resolution.
