Key Features

4K Ultra HD Extension: Extends 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160 @ 60Hz, 4:2:0 or @ 30Hz, 4:4:4) video signals up to 130 feet (40 meters) over a single CAT-5e cable.

 

1080p Full HD Extension: Extends HDMI at 1080p Full HD with up to 12-bit Deep Color up to 230 feet (70 meters) over a single CAT-5e cable.

 

Power Over Line (POL): Gefen's bi-directional POL feature provides power to either the Sender or Receiver unit over the link cable, requiring only one power supply for the entire system.

 

Bi-Directional IR: Extends IR control signals from the Sender to the Receiver and from the Receiver back to the Sender, allowing two-way control of source and display devices.

 

Comprehensive HDMI Support: Compliant with HDMI 2.0 , supports HDCP 2.2 and 1.4 , and passes through 12-bit Deep Color , LPCM 7.1 audio, Dolby® TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio™, 3DTV , CEC , and Lip Sync.

 

Advanced EDID Management: Provides settings for managing the EDID information passed to the source device, ensuring optimal compatibility.

How It Works

The Gefen GTB-UHD-HBTL extender system uses a Sender and Receiver set to transmit high-definition signals over a single cable. First, connect your HDMI source to the Sender unit's HDMI In port. Next, connect your Ultra HD display to the Receiver unit's HDMI Out port. The Sender and Receiver units are then connected to each other via one CAT-5e or better cable, which carries the 4K video and bi-directional IR control signals. Thanks to Gefen’s Power Over Line (POL) technology, only one 24V DC power supply is needed; connect it to either the Sender or the Receiver, and the other unit will be powered over the link cable. This allows you to remotely control your source from the display's location or control the display from the source's location seamlessly.

System Requirements

Cabling: A single, continuous run of solid core CAT-5e or better cable is recommended. While shielded (STP) cable is recommended, unshielded (UTP) is acceptable. Patch cables are not recommended.

 

Source Device: An Ultra Hi-Def source with an HDMI output is required. The source must not be capable of HDR or 4K 600 MHz (60 Hz 4:4:4). If using 4K resolutions with a display that accepts Deep Color, the source must be manually configured to output 8-bit color.

 

Display Device: An Ultra-HD display with an HDMI input is required.

 

Power: An available electrical outlet is needed for the 24V DC power supply.
