How It Works

The DVI Detective N operates through a simple two-phase process that solves common EDID-related display issues. First, connect your target display to the DVI Out port and power the unit using the included 5V DC adapter. Press the programming button to capture and store the display's EDID information in the device's 256-byte memory. Once programmed, disconnect the power supply and insert the DVI Detective N between your video source and extension equipment or switcher. The device now continuously provides stored EDID data to the source, maintaining an active connection status even when the actual display is switched away or temporarily disconnected.
