Featuring Power Over HDBaseT (POH), the Receiver unit powers the Sender over the link cable, simplifying installation by requiring only a single power supply. Long-Distance Transmission: Supports 1080p Full HD and WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolutions up to 495 feet (150 meters) , and 4K DCI/Ultra HD resolutions up to 330 feet (100 meters).

 

4K HDMI Support: When using DVI-to-HDMI cables, the extender supports HDMI 2.0 (up to 4K 60Hz, 4:2:0) , HDCP 2.2 and 1.4 , 12-bit Deep Color , and 3DTV pass-through.

 

High-Bit-Rate Audio Pass-through: Supports LPCM 7.1, Dolby Atmos®, Dolby® TrueHD, DTS:X™, and DTS-HD Master Audio™ formats.

 

Power Over HDBaseT (POH): The Receiver powers the Sender unit over the link cable, requiring only one power supply at the receiver end for a simplified installation.

 

Bi-Directional Audio: Extends analog L/R stereo audio from Sender to Receiver and from Receiver to Sender. The Receiver's audio input accommodates either a microphone or a line-level source.

 

Advanced System Management: Features advanced EDID Management , Link Quality Monitoring , and in-field firmware updates via the Gefen Syner-G™ software.

 

Flexible Installation Options: The 1U tall, half-rack-width enclosures can be surface-mounted , placed on a shelf , or installed in a 19-inch rack using an optional rack tray.

How It Works

The EXT-DVIKA-HBT2 system operates with two main components: a Sender and a Receiver. First, connect your DVI source, computer USB, and source audio to the corresponding inputs on the Sender unit. Then, connect a single CAT-5e or better cable between the Sender and Receiver to extend all signals up to 495 feet (150 meters). At the remote workstation, connect your DVI display, up to four USB devices (such as a keyboard and mouse), and powered speakers to the appropriate outputs on the Receiver unit. For bi-directional audio, a return channel can be established by connecting a microphone or line-level source to the Receiver's audio input. To power the entire system, simply connect the included 48V DC power supply to the Receiver unit; it will automatically power the Sender over the same link cable using Power Over HDBaseT (POH) technology, simplifying installation by removing the need for a power supply at the source location.

System Requirements

Cabling: A single shielded (STP) CAT-5e or better cable is required for the link between the Sender and Receiver units.

 

Management Software: To perform EDID management and firmware updates, the product requires Gefen Syner-G™ software, version 2.1.x or later, running on a Windows PC. A USB-A to Mini-B cable is needed to connect the unit to the computer.
