Next, run an SDI cable from the unit's BNC output to your SDI display, switcher, or other downstream equipment. Use the external DIP switches for basic field configuration of audio modes and 3G-SDI levels. Finally, connect the locking 12V DC power supply to power the unit; status LEDs will confirm that the device is powered on and an active HDMI source is present. For advanced EDID management and firmware updates, the converter's mini-USB port allows for a direct connection to a computer running the Gefen Syner-G™ software suite.

Source Device: An HDMI source is required. The source content must not be HDCP-encoded, as the converter is not compatible with it and will not produce an SDI output if the signal is protected.

Display Device: An SDI display or other downstream equipment with a BNC-type input is required.

Power: An available electrical outlet is needed for the included 12V DC power supply.

Software Configuration (Optional): For firmware updates and advanced EDID management, a computer running the Gefen Syner-G™ software suite is required. The computer must have an available USB port and a USB-A to mini-USB cable (not included) is needed to connect to the converter.
