Next, run a standard CAT-5, CAT-5e, or CAT-6 cable from the sender unit's RJ-45 port to the receiver unit's corresponding port - up to 1000 feet away. Then connect your RS-232 peripheral device (such as a graphics tablet, industrial controller, or digital signage player) to the receiver unit's RS-232 output port. Finally, plug the included 5V power supply into the sender unit, which automatically powers both units through the CAT-5 cable connection. The system instantly establishes a transparent serial communication link, with the receiver's LED indicator confirming successful signal transmission and power delivery between both units.
