Gefen's EXT-UHD600-12 1:2 Splitter for HDMI takes one Ultra Hi-Def source and simultaneously displays it on up to two Ultra HD displays. This splitter goes beyond the requirements of typical 4K systems, delivering stunning Ultra HD and DCI/Cinema picture up to 4096 x 2160 pixels at 60 frames per second, without color subsampling. It supports the high dynamic range (HDR) feature, which allows every subtle gradation of each pixel to be displayed with immersive clarity. Designed to support multiple layers of cascading, this splitter is ideal for large video distribution and signage applications that may include hundreds of displays. The EXT-UHD600-12 supports HDCP 2.2 and the legacy HDCP 1.4, along with 7.1 channels of LPCM and HBR (High Bit Rate) digital audio formats such as Dolby Atmos®, Dolby® TrueHD, DTS:X™, and DTS-HD Master Audio™.

Legacy DVI Compatibility: Supports the use of DVI sources and DVI displays up to 1080p Full HD and 1920x1200 (WUXGA) when used with HDMI-to-DVI adapters.

 

Professional Enclosure: Features a compact, low-profile, and surface-mountable enclosure that accommodates locking HDMI cables for secure connections.

How It Works

To operate the Gefen EXT-UHD600-12, first connect an Ultra HD source to the HDMI Input port on the unit using a locking HDMI cable. Connect the included 5V DC power supply to the splitter and a live electrical outlet to power the unit. Then, connect up to two Ultra HD displays to the Out 1 and Out 2 ports using HDMI cables. The splitter takes the single high-definition signal from the source and simultaneously distributes it to both connected displays. For large-scale applications requiring more than two displays, an output from the splitter can be connected to the input of another EXT-UHD600 series splitter, creating a cascade that can support hundreds of displays.

System Requirements

For Basic Operation

  • HDMI Source: You need one Ultra HD source device.
  • HDMI Displays: The splitter supports up to two Ultra HD displays.
  • HDMI Cables for Displays: You must provide your own HDMI cables to connect the splitter's outputs to your displays. The manual highly recommends using Gefen Locking HDMI cables for reliable performance with 600 MHz signals.

For Advanced Configuration
