How It Works

To operate the Gefen EXT-UHD600-14, first connect your Ultra HD source device to the splitter's locking HDMI input port on the rear panel. Next, connect up to four Ultra HD displays to the four corresponding HDMI output ports. Once all devices are connected, plug the included 5V DC locking power supply into the splitter and an available electrical outlet to power the unit. The splitter then takes the single video and audio stream from the source and simultaneously distributes an identical, uncompromised signal to all connected displays. The unit's advanced EDID Management system automatically negotiates the best possible video and audio formats supported by all displays, ensuring a rapid and seamless integration. For larger applications, multiple splitters can be cascaded by connecting an output of one unit to the input of another, allowing a single source to be distributed to hundreds of displays.
