How It Works

To operate the Gefen EXT-UHD600-41 switcher, begin by connecting up to four HDMI source devices to the HDMI input ports on the rear of the unit. Next, connect the single HDMI output to your Ultra HD display or projector. Once powered on, you can choose which source is routed to the display in several ways. For direct access, press the front-panel 'Select' button to cycle through the connected inputs. You can also use the included hand-held IR remote for convenient selection. For automated environments, the unit can be configured to automatically switch to the most recently connected or powered-up source device. For professional integration with control systems, the switcher can also be managed via RS-232, IP (Telnet/UDP), and its built-in web server interface.
