How It Works

The EXT-DP-4K600-1SC system operates with a Sender and Receiver unit to extend DisplayPort video over a long distance. First, connect your DisplayPort 1.2 source to the Sender unit's input port using the included DisplayPort cable. Next, connect your DisplayPort 1.2 display to the Receiver unit's output port. The Sender and Receiver units are then linked together with a single strand of SC-terminated OM3 or better multi-mode fiber optic cable, up to 660 feet (200 meters) in length. Finally, power both units using either the included 5V DC power supplies or by connecting the included USB-to-DC power cables to available powered USB ports. Once all devices are powered on, the link indicators will light up, and the uncompressed 4K video signal from the source will be transmitted seamlessly to the remote display.
