The Gefen EXT-USB2.0-SR system operates with two main components: a Sender unit and a Receiver unit. The Sender and Receiver are then linked using a single, standard CAT-5e or better cable up to 165 feet (50 meters) in length. Finally, attach the two included 5V DC locking power supplies to both the Sender and Receiver and plug them into available electrical outlets to power the system. As a true plug-and-play, 100% hardware solution, the extender requires no software drivers and works instantly across all major operating systems.
